Basic Guidelines

The style originates from Scandinavian countries. Due to the long periods of darkness there, a very bright, open interior design concept has developed.

The aim is always to create a cozy atmosphere to escape the cold temperatures. Large window elements and clever lighting design ensure sufficient brightness.

Materials

The basis of the Scandinavian style is usually white or very light oiled wood. These are also popular for use on walls or ceilings. Coniferous woods with their large dimensions are particularly well suited to this interior design style. Our deep white oiling achieves the desired very light appearance.

This is combined with natural-colored wood elements as well as furs, blankets, and other cozy fabrics.

Typical Color Scheme

In addition to the light base components, Scandi design often incorporates subtle splashes of color to create a more cozy atmosphere. These colors are usually found in the pastel palette.

Furniture & Furnishings

Scandinavian design furniture should be simple and straightforward. Natural, organic shapes and curves are also popular. These pieces are often complemented by classics such as designer furniture.

Important: Functionality should never be neglected.
